| ABASA was established in 1985 to promote interests of black men and women engaged in the accounting profession. It is committed and dedicated in this pursuit, and is driven by the need to ensure that every black accountant and aspiring accountant is able to realise his/her full potential and aspirations. Our objectives To promote adult education, vocational training and technical education in the accounting profession; and to establish a special fund in the Republic of South Africa dedicated to receiving donations to be used exclusively for such educational or training purposes and to establish, control and administer educational trust funds to assist Black students and trainees in the pursuance of their studies within the accounting profession. To facilitate and encourage the entry of Blacks into the accounting profession to promote their academic and professional excellence.
